Urban Mobility Improvement Project in Białystok

The contract involves enhancing the existing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) to improve urban mobility and promote walking and cycling. Key components of the project include: 1) Adjusting bus priority systems to a new protocol, 2) Implementing automatic detection of pedestrians and cyclists at intersections and crossings, 3) Developing mobile applications to assist cyclists in navigating the city, 4) Installing bike totems with traffic and environmental information, 5) Establishing priorities for emergency vehicles, 6) Launching a parking occupancy measurement system for regular and disabled parking spaces, 7) Designing and constructing traffic signals at pedestrian crossings, 8) Designing and constructing traffic signals at intersections, 9) Developing telecommunication infrastructure to connect existing and planned ITS devices, 10) Supplying and installing CCTV cameras for monitoring pedestrian and cyclist safety, 11) Upgrading IT infrastructure, 12) Providing computer equipment for the Traffic Management Center, 13) Conducting functional and cybersecurity tests of the system, 14) Preparing post-implementation documentation, and 15) Offering 5 years of IT support for the system.
