    Brief

The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) is seeking to acquire an active load-pull measurement system operating below terahertz (sub-THz), along with a series of frequency extenders compatible with VNA and VMU measurement units, for the characterization of RF semiconductor devices (3 lots). This system will cover a frequency range of approximately 75 GHz to 260 GHz for high-power measurements, as well as additional low-power extenders covering the range of 220 GHz to 330 GHz (and beyond), for the POWERlab at the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Microtechnology (IEM). The equipment will be dedicated to cutting-edge research on high-power millimeter-wave and sub-THz devices, as well as monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs). In line with the scientific objectives of the POWERlab, the focus will be on the following areas: High-frequency and high-power devices for next-generation communication applications; The frequency extenders will be used to characterize RF devices in the range of 75 to 260 GHz, with high-power modules suitable for load-pull measurements. Additionally, low-power extenders covering the range of 220 to 330 GHz (and beyond) will be connected to a Keysight PNA system.
