Technical Consulting and Construction Advisory for the New Construction and Expansion of Astrid Lindgren School in Kempten

The Astrid Lindgren School (ALS) is facing an urgent need for space due to increasing student numbers. Currently, approximately 200 students are taught in a building designed for 120 students. Projections indicate that the need will rise to 250 students. As the number of students increases, so does the need for space, making the existing facilities inadequate for future requirements. The school's management and staff experience this acute space shortage in their daily work, which increasingly hinders their ability to provide support services. This additional need will be addressed through a new replacement building on the school's property at Schwalbenweg 63 in 87439 Kempten. The government of Swabia has approved a space program for a new school building for 250 students. To optimize space usage, synergies between the therapeutic day care and the school for physically impaired individuals are planned. Additionally, there is an opportunity to improve the access situation for pick-up and drop-off services and to adjust sports and break areas to meet the growing demand. A swimming pool will also be constructed. The client has decided to pursue Variant 1 of the feasibility study. The project's costs (KG 300+400) are currently estimated at approximately €42 million net based on a feasibility study, with costs for KG 500 estimated at around €7 million net. The milestones for project implementation include: - Start of planning services around the beginning of the first quarter of 2026. This tender aims to commission the following services: construction physics services, performance phases 1-7 according to Annex 1 Section 1.2.1 HOAI. The services will be commissioned in stages as outlined in the draft contract. There is no legal entitlement to a total commissioning.
