    Brief

The City of Pori's technical department is seeking design services for the renovation of a property located at Liisankatu 20, Pori, which consists of two buildings constructed in 1902 and 1991. The older section was completed in 1902, while the newer section was built in 1991, connecting the two with a corridor. The building has been used for educational and restaurant purposes and will continue to serve these functions. The renovation aims to improve the facilities for the Pori Regional Adult Education Center and modernize the existing restaurant spaces, allowing the restaurant to continue its operations. No activities will take place in the building during the renovation. The procurement includes lead design, architectural design, structural design, HVAC design, electrical design, and acoustic design. The procurement is limited so that the same consultant cannot take on both the lead design and another design area simultaneously. The project is planned to be executed as a divided contract. The site must be completed and ready for use by November 2027, with construction expected to start in June 2026. The older part of the building is protected under zoning regulations marked as sr II, and the newer part has been assessed as Class B in the inventory of modern architectural heritage in Pori. The site is considered valuable in terms of architectural history, urban aesthetics, and preservation. Detailed information can be found in the tender documents. A hazardous materials study has been conducted, and the report is attached. An electronic model will be created for the designers, with a detailed description in the tender attachment titled 'Modeling Plan.' A Matterport scan of the site has been completed, and links to three views (facade, old building, and new building) are provided below. The password to access the material is: LiisanKatu25. A site visit will be held on April 16, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Participation in the site visit is a requirement for submitting a bid. The details of the person attending must be sent via email to jarno.marila@pori.fi, including the person's name and company name. Registration must be completed by April 15, 2025, at 12:30 PM. Participation will be documented with a signature at the site visit.
