    Brief

    The Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg is planning an expansion with a new adjacent building. This construction project will support research and include areas for laboratories, offices, communication, seminars, server rooms, and a kitchen (cafeteria). The electrical services required include: a 20kV air-insulated switchgear (3 fields), a 20kV/630kVA transformer, a low-voltage switchgear (6 fields), 4 sub-distributors, emergency lighting, an 80kVA UPS, approximately 20,000 meters of wiring, 25,000 meters of Cat7 cables, 10 server racks, 6 in-row coolers, about 200 lights, a 30kWp PV system, and lightning protection. Work is to commence within 12 working days after the request is received from the client (as per §5 Abs. 2 Sentence 2 VOB/B). The request is expected to be sent by January 8, 2026. The work must be completed (ready for acceptance) within 330 working days from the specified deadline, with a work schedule of 5 days per week.
