North Somerset Council is looking for a specialized supplier to create an easy-to-use GIS visualization platform. This platform will provide near-real-time insights into how changes to drainage systems, such as drains and sluices, impact water levels in the Gordano, Tickenham-Nailsea, and Kenn peat moors. The tool should function both online and offline, allowing non-technical users to manipulate a water-level slider, toggle existing structures, and sketch hypothetical barriers or weirs. Users will be able to see the immediate effects of these changes, from large-scale drainage board impacts down to individual farm gutters. The platform must integrate LiDAR terrain data, a new 1D-2D hydraulic model, and predefined seasonal scenarios, while updating inundation maps in under a second and maintaining a performance of at least ten frames per second on a standard laptop.
