Brief

The Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed (RCE) is seeking to purchase a micro X-ray diffractometer (XRD system) for the Rijksheritage laboratory in Amsterdam. This equipment is primarily intended for phase identification of materials related to cultural heritage, with optional capabilities for structural analysis (stress and texture). The new system will replace the current device, which is nearing the end of its economic and technical lifespan. It must be suitable for analyzing relatively large objects, such as books, drawings, and paintings (up to approximately 40x30 cm), as well as metal and ceramic items. The system should be flexible enough to allow users to adapt it for other X-ray diffraction methods, potentially with the addition of modular components in the future. The micro X-ray diffractometer can either be a brand new system or a 'young' demo model (no more than 4 years old) that has been well-maintained and used for demonstrations to potential customers. The goal of this procurement is to establish a single contract for the one-time delivery of one micro X-ray diffractometer system. Invoicing must occur before December 8, 2025, to ensure payment is completed by the end of the fiscal year.
