Germany – Architectural and Engineering Services for Project Management, BCGCT, Incubator Expansion

Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH), and Bayer AG are planning to establish a translation center for cell and gene therapies in Berlin, known as the Berlin Center for Gene and Cell Therapies (BCGCT). The project is managed by Charité, through its construction department. This center will support start-ups in advancing their innovative approaches to gene and cell therapeutics into clinical development. The incubator will provide fully equipped laboratory and workspace areas, as well as a production area (GMP facility) for developing therapies up to clinical phase II, allowing start-ups to advance research in these fields. The Charité construction department, on behalf of Gene and Cell Therapies Incubator GmbH, will award project management services based on the Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI) or the publications of the Committee of Associations and Chambers of Engineers and Architects for the Fee Structure (AHO).
