    Brief

    This is a community-based support service for children and young people aged 11-25 (with priority focus on 14-19 year olds) who are at risk of or involved in violence and associated harm across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The Navigator Service will provide relationship-based mentoring and trauma-informed support through multiple access points including police custody suites (Keyham Lane and Euston Street), A&E departments at Leicester Royal Infirmary, and community referral pathways. Core service elements include mentoring, social skills training, safeguarding support, and coordination with education, health and community services. The successful provider will deliver in-reach support in custody and hospital settings, provide follow-up support in the community, and help young people access further education, health and social services. The contract runs for an initial 12 months with optional extensions of up to 21 months, subject to performance and funding availability. The maximum contract value is £805,000 (excluding VAT) for the full contract period including all extension options. Services must comply with the approved specification, performance framework, and all safeguarding requirements.
