Specialized and Oversized Vehicle Recovery and Disposal Services

South Hams District Council and West Devon Borough Council are conducting market engagement to identify suppliers capable of recovering, storing, and disposing of abandoned specialist and oversized vehicles. The councils have existing arrangements for standard cars but need providers to handle vehicles outside current scope, including caravans, motorhomes, buses, coaches, lorries, HGVs, agricultural vehicles, construction equipment, and trailers. Selected suppliers may be required to attend multiple locations across both council areas, recover vehicles from public land and authorized locations, provide secure storage facilities, support legal processes and statutory notice periods, ensure environmentally compliant disposal and recycling, and provide evidence of relevant licenses, permits, and insurance.
