Construction and Renovation of Ludwig-Reinhard-School in Kaufbeuren

The Ludwig-Reinhard-School is a support center for students with intellectual disabilities, currently serving 172 students with the assistance of nearly 100 educators and specialists. The existing building will undergo extensive renovations and expansions. The West section (built in 1967, three stories) will be completely renovated and expanded to the west. The Southwest section (built in 1987, two stories plus basement) will be renovated. The Northwest section (built in 1967, single story) which includes a small sports hall and auditorium will be demolished, and a new auditorium will be constructed. The North section (built in 2000, single story) will remain untouched by the renovations but will temporarily house three elementary school classes during construction. A new two-court sports hall is planned as a standalone building in the southeast of the property. The total volume of the existing building is 18,535 m², and after renovation and expansion, including the sports hall, it will be 37,634 m².
