Engineering Services for Cycle Route 6 in Hamburg

The State Office for Roads, Bridges, and Waterways (LSBG) plans to renew the Hamburg Alster waterfront between Kennedy Bridge and Lohmühlenstraße in coordination with other relevant authorities. The project involves redesigning the embedded foot and cycle paths in certain areas and enhancing the green spaces along the water. The Alster waterfront will serve not only transportation and recreational functions but also important ecological roles. The planning for the open spaces will build on the preliminary planning results provided by the client. Services required include phases 2 to 6 of the planning process, partially and including special services. There are four signalized junctions along the route connecting the Alster bank to the residential side, which will be optimized by a traffic planning office as part of the redesign. Basic services in the open space planning include: Phase 2: Preliminary planning (5%), Phase 3: Design planning (16%), Phase 4: Approval planning (4%), Phase 5: Execution planning (25%), Phase 6: Preparation for awarding contracts (6.5%). Special services include coordination with other projects or stakeholders, updating existing planning documents, assessing existing structures and materials, preparing documents for third-party contracts, participating in political meetings or public involvement, creating environmental and species protection contributions, and more. Basic services in traffic facilities planning include: Phase 2: Preliminary planning (15.5%), Phase 3: Design planning (15%), Phase 4: Approval planning (4%), Phase 5: Execution planning (15%), Phase 6: Preparation for awarding contracts (9.5%). Special services include planning construction phases considering traffic management and maintaining operations during construction, construction preparation, coordination with the open space planner, and public engagement.
