Brief
This contract involves the supply of innovative educational furniture and associated services, including design and layout of spaces, delivery, installation, and assembly, in coordination with various trades involved in the setup (electrical, digital, IT, and audiovisual work). The framework agreement covers a range of furniture types such as seats, tables, chairs, poufs/sofas, acoustic panels, partitions, and collaborative workspaces, among others. The furniture must accommodate technological elements and meet safety (including fire safety) and accessibility standards (including for persons with reduced mobility). La Rochelle University is particularly focused on the modularity, accessibility, and ergonomics of all proposed equipment, which must adapt to the constraints and specifications of the environments, rooms, audiences, and uses expressed by the university during each order. The university aims to renew its supply of educational furniture for formal teaching spaces (classrooms, tutorials, and practical work) and informal spaces (study rooms, common areas, libraries). Future needs for educational furniture are driven by regular replacement and replenishment of furniture in traditional educational spaces and the requirements of major projects funded by various sources (regional, state, European). These projects often involve the creation of new, innovative educational spaces, such as 'SMART ROOMS.' Since 2016, La Rochelle University has been transforming its educational policy to address the increasing demand for higher education and enhance student success by offering a more personalized learning experience. This includes hybrid learning options, various teaching formats, and active pedagogical practices. The university seeks to design and construct several SMART ROOMS across its components to meet its educational transformation goals, integrating innovative furniture and digital technology to create spaces that support diverse uses and hybrid learning. The SMART ROOMS will provide a break from traditional teaching models, incorporating student and teacher needs for comfort, interactivity, and adaptability in teaching practices.
