Geneva – Road Construction Project – Route des Jeunes / Jolivet Intersection

This project involves the construction of an intersection on Route des Jeunes, located between the highway viaduct and the P+R of Étoile at A.-Jolivet street. It is managed by the Cantonal Office of Civil Engineering, in collaboration with the authorities of the City of Carouge and the Cantonal Office of Transport. The Industrial Services of Geneva have joined the tender. The work primarily includes the demolition of retaining walls and concrete slabs to create a new road profile that allows vehicles on A.-Jolivet street to directly access the highway viaduct. The overhead signage will be adjusted accordingly. A berm will be created for planting purposes. The complete project area is detailed in the documentation. As part of a related private project, the installation of a collector at the intersection near A.-Jolivet street is conditionally included in the documentation. The project will be executed in two phases. The first phase aims to make the intersection operational in a temporary version within 11 months to allow the commencement of work on a related project linked to the development of the Étoile neighborhood and PAV. The second phase, which involves finalizing the project (completion of landscaping and pavement), will take place approximately 30 months later, once the related project is operational.
