Procurement of Nirsevimab for RSV Season 2025-2026

The HUS Group is seeking suppliers for the procurement of Nirsevimab (Beyfortus 50 mg and 100 mg injection solution, pre-filled syringe) for use during the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) epidemic season from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. This medication is intended for infants under 3 months old and at-risk children under one year old, including those born before the 29th week of pregnancy, those with heart conditions requiring correction, severe immunodeficiency, or bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BDP), those who have received supportive care in the last 6 months, those with Down syndrome, and those born between the 29th and 36th weeks of pregnancy with siblings who are toddlers. Nirsevimab is a recombinant neutralizing human long-acting monoclonal antibody (IgG1κ) that prevents the RSV virus from entering cells by binding to two subunits (F1 and F2) of the viral fusion protein (F), keeping the protein in its prefusion form and preventing the virus from using it to enter cells. The estimated value of this procurement is approximately €10.5 million (excluding VAT) based on wholesale pricing.
