Bridge Replacement Engineering Services

The project involves the replacement of the Bladenhorster Bridge No. 363 over the Rhine-Herne Canal, as part of the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan. This replacement is necessary to meet the new design specifications, ensuring a clearance height of 5.25 meters. The work will require adjustments and changes to the original contract, which will be managed by an external engineering firm. The scope of this engineering contract includes: • Familiarization with the construction contract • Monitoring the construction process (reviewing meeting minutes, plans, schedules, and inspection reports) • Documenting, assessing, and tracking additional costs, concerns, and delays • Managing change orders. The necessary steps for documenting, defending, reviewing, assessing, tracking, and preparing for negotiations on change orders will be conducted in accordance with the construction contract and relevant laws and regulations. Participation in meetings (e.g., construction meetings, change order negotiations) will be required as needed.
