Data Storage Renewal for IT Infrastructure

This contract opportunity involves the modernization of the IT infrastructure at various locations of the contracting authority. The existing Storage Area Network (SAN) environment and backup systems will be upgraded to meet current technological standards. The goal is to enhance the performance and capacity of the storage and backup systems while optimizing the existing high availability through continuous redundancy and cross-site data replication. Lot 1 includes the delivery, installation, and commissioning of a high-performance SAN infrastructure with data transfer speeds of up to 64 Gbit/s and the latest storage systems that allow for flexible and selective data replication between sites. Lot 2 focuses on renewing the backup systems with modern backup-to-disk technology, efficient deduplication mechanisms, and seamless integration into the existing server and application landscape (Windows, VMware, Oracle, SAP). The backup solution should ensure high performance, offer flexible capacity expansions, and maintain secure long-term archiving using tape. Both lots must be implemented to ensure smooth migration without operational interruptions, full compatibility of all components with each other and the existing infrastructure, and support for future growth scenarios.
