Environmental Services Project Support in Germany

This contract involves providing technical project support for the BioClime initiative, which aims to address biodiversity loss and climate change. The project, commissioned by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUKN), will run from April 1, 2024, to June 30, 2027. It focuses on enhancing the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and the Paris Agreement by supporting key actors in developing integrated approaches to biodiversity and climate action. Suppliers will assist in four main areas: 1) Advising on GBF implementation in CBD negotiations, 2) Supporting preparations for UNFCCC climate conferences, 3) Enhancing synergies between biodiversity and climate protection, and 4) Strengthening international partnerships and knowledge networks. The project also aims to improve international forest-related climate finance and promote deforestation-free supply chains. The selected supplier will work closely with four partner countries (Indonesia, Thailand, Mexico, Brazil) and various divisions within BMUKN to ensure effective implementation of these initiatives.
