    Brief

This procurement process is for the supply of electricity based on identified needs and in accordance with the technical specifications and other required conditions outlined in this procurement documentation. The supplied electricity must contain at least 50% from renewable sources. To encourage the production of energy from renewable sources and make it more competitive compared to energy from conventional sources, as well as to promote the construction of new renewable energy sources and achieve sustainable development, the contracting authority has determined that the electricity must meet the aforementioned minimum percentage of renewable energy. According to the National Action Plan for Green Public Procurement for the period from 2015 to 2017, with a view to 2020, adopted by the Government of the Republic of Croatia on August 26, 2015, the procurement of at least 50% of electricity from renewable sources and/or the procurement of electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration is foreseen (the supplier must indicate the share of electricity from renewable sources they intend to supply to the contracting authority). Renewable energy sources include non-fossil renewable energy sources, such as wind energy, solar energy, aerothermal, geothermal, and hydrothermal energy, marine energy, river energy, biomass energy, landfill gas, wastewater treatment plant gas, and biogas (Article 3 of the Electricity Market Act (NN 111/21)).
