Restoration Work for Historical Buildings and Museums in Finland

The cities of Espoo and Kauniainen, along with Weegee Oy, are seeking bids for restoration work on historically significant and protected buildings, as well as museums. This procurement will be conducted as a framework agreement in accordance with procurement law. A specific framework agreement for restoration work will be established for each area, selecting 10 service providers for each category. The buyer will place orders for smaller tasks with the most suitable service provider from the framework agreement, while larger tasks will be ordered through a simplified competition process. A detailed description of the procurement is provided in Appendix 1 of the request for proposals, titled 'Description of the Procurement Object.' The procurement is divided into five (5) categories: Category 1: Restoration Carpentry Work, Category 2: Restoration of Wooden Structures and Carpentry Work, Category 3: Restoration of Stone Structures, Category 4: Painting and Surface Work with Traditional Materials, Category 5: Building Surface and Interior Conservation. The contract duration is four (4) years from the start date, but no later than December 31, 2029 (this estimate will be confirmed during the contract signing phase). The estimated total value of the procurement, excluding VAT, is €9,663,000. The total value is distributed among the contracting entities as follows: City of Espoo: €7,800,000, City of Kauniainen: €1,800,000, Weegee Oy: €63,000.
