Boiler Flue Replacement at Nishkam Centre

The Nishkam Civic Association is seeking bids for the design, supply, and installation of a new commercial boiler flue system and related enabling works at the Nishkam Centre located at 6 Soho Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, B21 9BH. This project is partially funded by Birmingham City Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). Due to compliance and operational risks, we are conducting a fast-tracked yet fair tender process. The work involves supplying and installing a new flue that rises within the existing twin wall flue riser to discharge above the roof level. Additionally, new mechanical input and extract ventilation will be installed in the boiler room, adhering to IGEM UP10 and BS 6644:2011 standards, with ducts connecting to a new weather louvre in the existing low-level opening of the boiler room. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: - Removal and safe disposal of the existing flue system. - Design, supply, and installation of a new compliant commercial flue system suitable for current and future high-efficiency condensing cascade boilers. - Installation of mechanical input and extract ventilation in the boiler room as needed. - All access requirements, including scaffolding and lifting equipment, pressure testing, commissioning, certification, and recommissioning of boilers after the work is completed. Please note that the work will take place in a live community building, and contractors must have experience working safely in occupied premises and possess the relevant accreditations.
