Spain – Engineering Services for Improving Flood Management

This contract involves the development, implementation, and dissemination of a hydrological alert protocol between state and regional administrations. It aims to integrate this protocol into civil protection plans for flood risks at both state and regional levels. Additionally, the project includes the creation and implementation of a real-time decision support system that utilizes new information and communication technologies. The work will identify river sections related to alerts at each monitoring point, allowing future alerts to be associated with specific river sections rather than just individual monitoring points. The project will also develop a software tool to efficiently manage real-time hydrological alerts and facilitate near-automatic communication in accordance with the established hydrological alert protocol.
