Expansion of the Edelshausen Fire Station

The city of Schrobenhausen is planning to expand the existing fire station located at St.-Mauritius-Str. 16, 86529 Schrobenhausen, on the property with parcel number 5 in the district of Edelshausen. The current fire station no longer meets the updated regulations due to increased demands. The existing building needs to be expanded with a vehicle hall and additional rooms. The current structure will be integrated into the new uses and renovated. Optionally, the ground floor expansion could be complemented by an increase in the upper floor. A preliminary study has confirmed the basic feasibility of the project. The existing building was last renovated in 1999. The gross floor area of the expansion is approximately 400 m², with an additional 100 m² for the optional upper floor expansion, and the gross floor area of the existing building is approximately 290 m². Current estimates suggest total construction costs (cost groups 200-700) of about 2.25 million euros gross, with pure construction costs (cost groups 300+400) of about 1.4 million euros gross. Funding, such as fire department grants, will be sought for the construction project. The completion of the expansion is planned for no later than June 2027. Renovation and remodeling work can take place in a second construction phase thereafter.
