New Construction of St. Valentin Daycare Center in Schönenberg-Kübelberg

The local community of Schönenberg-Kübelberg owns the existing St. Valentin daycare center building, which is operated by the Catholic Church Foundation Kübelberg. The current single-story building, built in 1970, is no longer sufficient for the current three groups and does not meet the requirements set by the daycare law. Additionally, there is a need for more daycare places due to the number of children in the community. On September 19, 2019, the local council unanimously approved the construction of a new facility with five groups at the current location. The community is part of the Oberes Glantal district and has a cultural center and a church center nearby. The existing daycare center will be demolished to make way for the new single-story building, which will be constructed in two phases. The first phase will involve building three group rooms south of the existing building. After the children move to the new section, the old building will be demolished, and the second phase will commence. During construction, the daycare will use nearby playgrounds. The project also includes planning an access road from the village square, where parking is available, to the entrance of the new daycare center, which will serve as a fire access route.
