Site Preparation and Soil Remediation in Boberger Niederung, Germany

This contract involves the remediation of soil contamination found in Boberger Niederung, specifically with dioxins exceeding regulatory limits. The contaminated area is secured with a construction fence and requires special protective measures for access until remediation is complete. Key tasks include: constructing a gravel base for a 1,200 m2 access road, creating an asphalt base for 2,200 m2, establishing 110 m of declaration pockets, clearing 16,400 m2 of vegetation, removing 2,500 m3 of topsoil with a protective layer, excavating 4,000 m3 of subsoil, relocating 1,400 m3 of soil for embankments, supplying and installing 2,700 m3 of subsoil, and delivering and installing 8,500 m3 of topsoil. Additionally, analytical testing will be conducted as per regulatory requirements, including 265 solid analyses for PCDD/PCDF and dl-PCD, and disposal of excavated material based on contamination levels. The project also includes the installation of erosion control mats over 5,600 m2, initial greening through wet seeding over 16,000 m2, and supplying 900 pieces of pedunculate oak (Quercus robur). Maintenance of seeded areas will involve two care cycles over 24,000 m2.
