Property Safety and Compliance Check Service Contract - Newark and Sherwood District Council

Newark and Sherwood District Council is seeking a qualified Property Safety and Compliance Check Contractor to deliver comprehensive health, safety, statutory and regulatory compliance checks across all domestic properties under its management. The successful contractor will operate under a Three-Star Fully Inclusive Service, Maintenance, Repair and Compliance Contract, responsible for inspection, servicing, maintenance, repair and operational performance of all heating and hot water systems throughout the contract term. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards, maintaining accurate records and certification, providing operational support to the Council's Remedial Repairs and Void Management functions as required, and delivering services in a resident-focused manner. The contractor must demonstrate robust quality assurance, safety management, asset longevity focus and evidence-based compliance through digital documentation and performance reporting. The contract will commence on 1st April 2027 for an initial four-year period with an optional one-year extension subject to satisfactory performance and annual review. The total contract value is £7.4 million excluding VAT. The contract will be managed under JCT Measured Term Contract 2024 conditions and procured through an open procedure in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023.
