Northumberland Public Realm and Connectivity Study

Northumberland County Council is looking for a contractor to conduct a study on public spaces, connectivity, and wayfinding in at least two locations: Newbiggin-by-the-Sea and Bedlington. This project is funded by the North East Combined Authority's Early Priorities Fund and the Borderlands Place Programme Development Support Fund. Depending on the progress of the initial study, the Council may also consider assessments in Prudhoe, Bellingham, Haltwhistle, and Rothbury. The selected contractor will work with the Council's project lead and Highways Design Office to create a list of potential public realm improvements. Each proposed intervention should detail how it will enhance the local environment, support economic growth, and provide an estimate of the complexity and cost of implementation.
