    Brief

The Danish Ministry of Defence's Material and Procurement Agency (FMI) has recognized the need to create an amendment (Amendment 3) to Engineering Service Agreement no. BSA.339.ESA.235 (ESA) with Bombardier Defence. This amendment pertains to fatigue analyses of the Danish CL-604 Challenger aircraft's structure. The necessity arises from the requirement to conduct a new analysis of the Time Life Maintenance Check Inspection and Missionized Aircraft Engineering Service Support, which is included in the ESA. However, the ESA has expired. FMI's market review has concluded that the current supplier is the only one capable of performing this type of analysis, as only the design company, Bombardier Defence, can ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements. Due to the urgent operational need for the CL-604 Challenger aircraft to be airworthy, Amendment 3 has been prepared for the expired ESA, allowing Bombardier Defence to conduct this fatigue analysis. This is intended as a temporary solution due to the aforementioned urgent operational requirements. Amendment 3 will expire no later than April 30, 2026.
