Snow Removal Services in Zurich

The City Cleaning Department of Waste Disposal and Recycling Zurich (ERZ) is seeking support for winter services in Zurich. This contract involves providing manual snow removal services using shovels. Key details include: - Performing snow removal with shovel teams - On-call service throughout the contract period, from mid-November to mid-March, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; - Participation in mandatory training conducted by Waste Disposal and Recycling Zurich. The total service is divided into 56 planning quadrants, including 2 bike routes, with each quadrant representing a lot. Each quadrant contains multiple sites that must be serviced within a time frame of four to eight working hours, excluding additional follow-up work. A total of 56 teams will be deployed, with each team consisting of two employees. A personal vehicle is required for transporting employees, tools (shovels/snow pushers), and spreading materials. The planning quadrants may be adjusted by the contracting authority before the winter service season or during the contract period. Each company may submit bids for a maximum of 5 shovel teams. The allocation of the maximum 5 lots (planning quadrants) will be made by Waste Disposal and Recycling Zurich. The suitability criterion of a maximum intervention time of one hour must be met for all quadrants/locations as per section 2.1 of the table in part E. The service will be awarded for the period from October 1, 2025, to April 30, 2030.
