Urban Data Platform Development and Operation

The Digital Agency Smart Border Region GmbH, established by the city of Flensburg and the districts of Nordfriesland and Schleswig-Flensburg, is seeking suppliers for the development and operation of an urban data platform. This initiative is part of the model project 'Smart Border Region between the Seas,' which aims to achieve sustainable, community-oriented digital transformation in the region through innovative, data-driven solutions. The urban data platform will serve as an open, interoperable, and scalable digital infrastructure that integrates administrative data, real-time data, and sensor data. It will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making for local administrations, businesses, and civil society actors, thereby enhancing digital participation and fostering innovation in areas such as mobility, climate protection, energy efficiency, and sustainable urban development. The contract involves the design, development, implementation, and optional further development of the urban data platform, with the contractor required to deliver services in accordance with current technical standards and relevant legal and security requirements, aligned with the strategic objectives of the agency.
