Architectural Services for the New Town Hall in Steinheim an der Murr

The city of Steinheim an der Murr is planning to replace its town hall located in the historic center characterized by half-timbered houses. A competition was held in 2022/2023 to select a design. As part of the ongoing planning, costs have been reduced, leading to several changes in the project scope, including: - Elimination of the planned underground garage and the archive on the top floor. - Relocation of technical rooms. - Modification of the building's volume to a more streamlined design. - Use of reinforced concrete construction instead of a hybrid wood structure. - Changes to fixtures, building components, and materials. - Cancellation of the renovation of the adjacent listed building at Badtorstrasse 2. Due to these significant changes to the competition design, the building planning services will be re-tendered in accordance with § 132 Abs. 1 GWB in coordination with the GPA. The client is very interested in fostering a competitive bidding process. A detailed project description is attached to the tender documents.
