    Brief

The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is seeking to procure a state-of-the-art ICP reactive ion etcher specifically designed for etching III-V materials, with a particular emphasis on GaAs micropillar devices from a planar microcavity. This equipment, referred to as 'the Instrument', is crucial for a research project focused on optical devices and will also be part of the shared open access instruments at the facility. These instruments will support research in micro and nano fabrication, particularly in the development of optical devices and quantum computers. The delivery of the Instrument is expected as soon as possible, but no later than the third quarter of 2026. DTU requires a system that can effectively etch various III-V materials, including GaAs, AlGaAs, InGaAs, AlInGaAsP, and InP, to meet both current and future research needs.
