    Brief

This is a re-tender for the procurement of GTK/286/02.03.01/2025, an automatic filter for mineral material filtration at the GTK Mintec test facility. Changes have been listed in attachment 250708 TSu for the second round of the tender. Please note that not all changes are listed in the attachment. The filter will be used to filter concentrates and tailings. The focus of this procurement is on tailings, with a maximum capacity of 1000 kg/h of dry matter in the filter cake. The density of the solid material in the tailings varies between SG 2.6-3.0; attachment 240319 provides examples of particle size distributions for the filter and thickener. The operation of the filter is described in the English attachment 241007, Technical Specifications of the Filter, in section 4.1 for Vertical Plate Filter SF01FL001 or section 4.2 for Horizontal Plate Filter SF01FL101. The pH limits for the slurry are between 2.0 and 12.0, with a maximum temperature of +50°C. The typical pH range is 8-11. The performance guarantee is stated for Vuonoksen tailings: at least 900 kg/h of dry matter and less than 11% moisture in the filter cake. The process limits and scope of delivery are described in attachment 241007, Technical Specifications of the Filter, in sections Scope of the equipment 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 for filter units “SF01FL001” or “SF01FL101”. The supplier must provide a declaration of conformity with EU requirements and attach a CE marking to the equipment. The total cost and comparison price include the filter feed pump and the pump pit with a mixer. The feed pump at GTK is of the hose pump type. Compressed air compressors are not included in this procurement or comparison price. No compressed air tanks are included in this procurement (no drying air tanks). Clarification regarding the mandatory requirement for the ability to reduce chamber volume. The nature of the test facility's operations involves limited-duration campaigns. Often, the grinding feeds are active for 5-10 working days. The amount of tailings to be filtered varies by project. Additionally, the amount to be filtered can be small. For example, with the purchased filter, the client will also filter concentrates with significantly smaller masses (20-200 kg/h) than the tailings. When the amount of material to be filtered is less than the volume of the filter chambers, some of the filter chambers may remain empty due to the low amount of material, which, in the client's view, can cause the partially or completely empty filter chamber pack to twist or be damaged during the filtration process. Therefore, the client requires the ability to reduce chamber volume. Furthermore, the client requires that the reduction of chamber volume can be done by the client’s own personnel within a maximum of two working days. Upon request, the client will provide the supplier with a 40-50 kg sample of tailings for performance testing. The sample must be ordered by Friday, August 1, 2025, at 12:00 via email. Ville Hirvonen (phone 029 503 0104, ville.hirvonen@gtk.fi) until July 28, and Pirjo Seppälä (029 503 5841, pirjo.seppala@gtk.fi) from July 29 to August 1, 2025.
