    Brief

This procurement aims to enhance the capabilities of the IT Examination Territorial Centers in Bihor, Cluj, and Timiș for examining and providing forensic evidence using scientific methods to combat fraud and other illegal activities affecting the financial interests of the European Union. By acquiring digital forensic tools, the project seeks to develop new innovative means and accelerate the processing of high-capacity digital media in a judicially appropriate manner, preserving the evidential value of the evidence they may contain. This will reduce the time required for each of these processes and allow forensic examiners to produce faster and more efficient usable results, enabling quicker decision-making, reducing the time allocated for examination, and ultimately decreasing the number of cases awaiting forensic examination. The implementation of this project will ensure improved capacity for utilizing evidence and material means of proof, supporting the scientific probative system of the Romanian judiciary in the fight against organized crime, terrorism, and crimes that harm the financial interests of the EU.
