Brief
The Future Center for German Unity and European Transformation GmbH (referred to as 'Future Center' and 'Client') based in Halle (Saale) was officially established on August 30, 2024. This establishment follows a resolution by the German Bundestag and represents a significant step towards strengthening German unity. The Future Center aims to promote German unity and social cohesion in Germany and Europe. It seeks to enhance the overall societal understanding of past and future transformation processes. To ensure operational capability, the Future Center requires the provision of suitable software and hardware, as well as support and service for the development of its own IT infrastructure. The PD – Public Sector Consultants GmbH supports the Future Center in procurement and oversees the awarding process on its behalf. The contract duration is four years, aiming to equip the Future Center's staff with appropriate IT resources. The demand for equipment is expected to grow continuously until 2029, starting with up to 15 employees in 2025 and potentially increasing to approximately 95 full-time equivalents by 2029. The exact number of employees and the timeline for growth depend on additional personnel positions allocated by the federal budget. There may also be a need to equip part-time or external staff with appropriate IT resources. The procurement includes: - Laptops: up to 120 units (maximum for the framework contract) - Mobile phones: up to 120 units (maximum for the framework contract) - IT workstations: up to 120 units (maximum for the framework contract) The services to be provided are divided into the following packages: - Personal equipment for Future Center staff - Clients & Software - 'IT Workstations' at the premises - Operations & Services Further details, including minimum requirements, can be found in the respective subsection of Annex 1_Service Description. The offered services must comply with the provisions of BITV 2.0 (considering exceptions according to § 2). Accessibility must be ensured by the contractor before the delivery of devices, software, or licenses.
