    Brief

This contract focuses on innovative agricultural practices to enhance soil resilience against climate change. It aims to implement reduced tillage methods, such as direct seeding, which minimally disturb the soil structure. These practices improve essential soil functions like water infiltration and erosion protection, making agricultural land more resilient to climate variations. The project also seeks to enhance the microclimate at the plant-soil interface, helping soil flora and fauna better cope with heat stress. Additionally, it addresses climate adaptation and protection, reduces the risk of water and wind erosion, and contributes to water protection efforts. Despite the proven benefits of minimal tillage and direct seeding methods, many agricultural businesses are hesitant to adopt these practices. This project aims to strengthen the understanding of soil-plant interactions related to innovative minimal tillage methods and to overcome existing barriers.
