Cloud Infrastructure and Backup Solution for Mayo County Council

Mayo County Council is looking for a comprehensive on-premise Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solution that can seamlessly integrate with both public and private cloud systems, all managed through a single interface. This new infrastructure will replace the current VxRail systems. Proposals must include a detailed migration plan for transferring existing data and virtual machines to the new setup, along with the installation and configuration of all necessary components, ensuring compatibility with existing networks and systems. Additionally, the council requires a robust data backup solution that covers both physical and virtual machines, offering application-aware and file-level backup options, as well as disaster recovery for critical applications. The proposed backup strategy should follow the 3-2-1-1 model, ensuring both local and remote immutable copies of backups. Furthermore, a disaster recovery solution must be provided, hosted in a public or third-party managed private cloud, capable of fully recovering critical servers, including Active Directory, SQL, application, and file servers. The solution should also include unified support for all hardware and software components for a minimum of five years, with an option to extend for two additional periods of two years each.
