Freudenberg Harbor Repair Project

The project involves the repair of the Upper Freudenberg Harbor, located between Main-km 134.150 and 134.800. Key construction activities include: demolition and removal of the existing bank protection, earthworks involving excavation and installation of various materials, dredging work, slope and bed stabilization, and the construction of a new bank protection system featuring a 450-meter long anchored sheet pile wall, which will require adjustments to the existing design and structural plans. Additionally, the project includes partial bank protection using live fascines or gabions, removal of equipment, lamps, and the gauge house, construction of an operational access path with land drainage in a drainage trench, partial removal and relocation of the existing bike path, creation of a turning area, construction of a new gauge house, establishment of a waiting area for sports boats, and installation of a cable protection pipe system with 9 pipes over approximately 500 meters, along with the supply and installation of new equipment (e.g., tipping masts, signage, etc.). Suppliers are invited to participate in this significant construction opportunity.
