Brief
Køge Afløb A/S is planning an expansion of the Køge wastewater treatment plant to enhance its ability to remove micro-pollutants. This project aims to exceed existing legal requirements for micro-pollutant removal, focusing on treating all wastewater directed to the plant, rather than just from specific sources like the expanded Zealand University Hospital. The project has been designated as a flagship project under the Environmental Technology Development and Demonstration Program (MUDP) and will receive funding for the development of a new treatment solution. The successful implementation of the project’s goals will require a combination of OxyBlye Bio3 TM and Carbablue UpTM technologies. A separate contract for the technology package has been awarded to a consortium of SUEZ Water A/S and EnviDan A/S, who will handle the process design, project planning, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the project's machinery and electrical systems. The consortium will also provide a preliminary building design that aligns with the technology package. The civil works contract, which is the focus of this tender, includes the following key services: - Establishment, operation, and removal of the construction site and facilities - Construction of a building according to project specifications to facilitate the described treatment techniques - Construction of foundation slabs, including foundations and embedded parts for two silos for Granulated Active Coal (GAC), one tank for Liquid Oxygen (LOX), and a smaller technical building - Installation of new piping systems at the treatment plant - Minor renovation work on the existing treatment plant - Landscaping and access road construction. Additionally, the contract includes options for earthworks, road construction (crushed asphalt, concrete, and brick, paving, foundation stabilization, and gravel), drainage, and winter measures. The contract duration is estimated at 60 months, reflecting the expected construction period, which may overlap with the consortium's execution timeline. Both the duration and timing of the construction period are subject to change. The contract will conclude once all parties have fulfilled their obligations under the agreement.
