Electric Installation Works for Charging Infrastructure in Mönchengladbach

This contract involves expanding the existing charging infrastructure at the bus depot of NEW mobil und aktiv Mönchengladbach GmbH in Mönchengladbach, Germany. The current infrastructure includes four charging stations within Hall 3, and additional outdoor charging stations have already been established. The new infrastructure will include a medium-voltage ring built on-site, supplying power to new energy centers. These energy centers will be compact steel structures housing the medium-voltage switchgear, transformer, and low-voltage switchgear, designed to support high-power chargers (HPCs). The energy centers will be provided by the utility company as loan stations. HPCs will be installed on the roof/parking deck of the depot on a steel substructure, which will be walkable with grating. This double floor will facilitate cable installation, as cable entries for the components are designed from below. Charging cables will be routed to the buses through a cable management system in the depot. The entire electrical energy will be supplied via the existing medium-voltage connection from the municipal utility company, providing a total of 6 MW of electrical power for the depot, with an installed DC capacity of approximately 13.8 MW.
