Supply of Fresh and Frozen Fruits and Vegetables for School Catering

Angers Loire Restauration is responsible for providing collective catering services for nursery and elementary schools, daycare centers, and leisure centers in 21 municipalities of the Angers metropolitan area. Currently, approximately 14,500 meals are prepared and delivered daily to nearly 115 distribution points. This framework agreement concerns the supply of fresh and frozen fruits, vegetables, and potatoes (3rd, 4th, and 5th range) sourced from conventional agriculture for meal preparation. Angers Loire Restauration follows a responsible purchasing policy aimed at ensuring sustainable and quality products, fair compensation for farmers, and the preservation of the environment and natural resources. Beyond its nutritional value and enjoyment, food is approached from a multidimensional perspective that considers human health, environmental protection, and the vulnerability of the agricultural system. Special attention is required in this contract to reduce packaging, particularly plastics.
