    Brief

    Braunstone Town Council is seeking experienced providers to operate an Early Years day nursery and pre-school at the Thorpe Astley Community Centre, located at Lakin Drive, Thorpe Astley, Leicester, LE3 2RU, starting from August 26, 2025. The selected provider will be responsible for offering nursery and pre-school services for a minimum number of hours each year and will pay a fixed fee to the Council for the use of the facility. The provider will manage all incoming funds related to the Early Years Childcare program. The Council will cover costs for general rates, heating, lighting, and water, while the provider must ensure that the Main Hall, outside play area, and kitchen are left clean and tidy after use. General cleaning of other areas will be handled by the Council. The provider is also responsible for all government obligations related to the service, including VAT and taxes, and must provide proof of compliance if requested. Additionally, the provider will handle all deliveries of stock during the contract period, with the Council not liable for any stock shortages. Interested bidders must submit their proposals in the format specified by the Council, either by delivering a sealed envelope marked "Bid - Thorpe Astley nursery/pre-school" to the address above or by emailing a PDF version with the same subject line. All bids must be submitted by 9 AM on Monday, June 30, 2025.
