Water Temperature Logger Procurement

The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) is seeking suppliers for the procurement of water temperature loggers, which may include pressure sensors. This procurement aims to replace aging instruments used in a network of nearly 300 measurement stations that monitor water temperatures, primarily in regulated rivers associated with hydropower development. The temperature loggers, housed in durable metal boxes secured to the riverbank, have been in use since around 1980 and are essential for long-term data collection. Additionally, NVE operates stations in lakes that require loggers capable of measuring temperatures at various depths, necessitating pressure sensors to monitor the loggers' actual depth due to ice movement. The replacement of these loggers is crucial to ensure the continued functionality of NVE's monitoring capacity.
