Security Equipment Services Contract

This procurement is for a contractor responsible for the operation and maintenance of all security systems in Västerås City under a 7-year agreement (3+2+2). The contractor will regularly monitor, review, maintain, and rectify faults in the security systems, as well as serve as a service station for the city's locking systems. The contractor will also manage tags, key orders, train staff in system usage, set up operators/admins, and assist with issues and system development. The contractor will play a crucial role in the city's security efforts, addressing both minor and major issues, such as during new constructions. Work will be billed continuously with transparent accounting and a predetermined fee (markup on net price). The contractor will act as an independent operations department for the security systems, with high IT knowledge requirements since most systems are digital. This contractor will also manage the city's CCTV system and be integral to the procedures for handling surveillance. All installations and servicing of the city's cameras will be performed by this contractor, which imposes additional requirements for CCTV expertise.
