Construction Works for Amsterdam Lelylaan Station Renewal

The project involves various construction activities at ground level, underground, and at the train and metro platforms. Key tasks include: 1. Demolishing the existing station building and constructing a new one with an integrated bicycle parking facility; 2. Creating an underground technical corridor with adjacent technical rooms; 3. Modifying access points to the tram and metro platforms; 4. Adjusting the existing tram island and creating a tram turnaround loop; 5. Enhancing the public space around the station and the new tram turnaround loop; 6. Modifying the train and metro platforms and performing maintenance on the train platform roof; and 7. Establishing a new ground-level bicycle parking area on the north side of Lelylaan. To achieve this project scope, some existing structures will need to be renewed and others demolished. Notably, for task 4, GVB will handle the design and construction of the tram tracks and overhead lines. Since this project does not involve complete new construction, adapting and connecting to existing structures and installations is a significant aspect of the project scope.
