Engineering Project Manager Support for Solar Energy Design and Delivery

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is developing solar energy generation across multiple sites as part of regional decarbonisation efforts. A 2023 feasibility study identified 10 suitable rooftop and ground-mounted solar sites on the GM Waste Estate. This project will deliver solar capacity to reduce onsite power demand at these sites, with surplus energy available for export and use across the wider public sector estate. GMCA seeks qualified suppliers to provide Engineering Project Manager support to move this initiative from planning through to implementation. The project is structured in two contingent phases: Part 1 will establish the framework and assessment criteria, with Part 2 focusing on investment and delivery at selected sites based on Part 1 outcomes. Successful applicants will manage project delivery, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
