Outsourced Internal Audit Services Provider

This is an opportunity to deliver a fully outsourced Internal Audit Function for a public sector organisation. You will be responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services that support the client in achieving strategic objectives through evaluating and improving governance, risk management, and internal control processes. You must comply with Global Internal Audit Standards and Government Functional Standard GovS 009: Internal Audit, plus relevant UK public sector guidance. As the appointed Head of Internal Audit, you will have overall responsibility for the service and build a close working relationship with the Accounting Officer. The role requires approximately 80-90 days of annual input and is offered as a 5-year contract.
