Office Furniture Supply Contract

The University of Essex is seeking suppliers for a new furniture framework established in partnership with Dukefield Procurement, which became active on March 17, 2025. This opportunity involves a mini competition for Lot 1, focusing on core office furniture to be used across all three campuses of the University. The selected supplier will be responsible for providing a variety of office furniture from multiple manufacturers, as the University aims to standardize its furniture offerings. This standardization is part of the University’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact and ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of staff and students. The University has set a target to achieve net zero emissions by 2035, and suppliers are expected to contribute to this goal through sustainable practices in manufacturing, supply, reuse, repair, and recycling of furniture. Note that while a sole supplier will be appointed, the University retains the right to engage alternative suppliers as needed. The deadline for submissions is May 21, 2025, and the total value of the contract is £500,000.
