    Brief

    The Royal Artillery Museum is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Consultant) to lead a major museum development project on Salisbury Plain near Larkhill Artillery Barracks. The role will support the project through RIBA Stages 2-7, beginning with the Development Phase (RIBA Stages 2-3) funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The Development Phase includes design work, planning, surveys, exhibition design, activity planning, business planning, and consultation. A break clause will follow RIBA Stage 3, pending a successful Delivery Phase application. The new museum will be a sustainable, purpose-built facility showcasing the Royal Artillery's history and heritage, with features including exhibitions, accessible conservation workshops, flexible learning and research facilities, community spaces, and secure collection storage. The project aims to engage diverse audiences, create volunteering and training opportunities, enhance the local environment through landscape restoration and biodiversity initiatives, and strengthen organizational resilience.
