Grimsby Town Centre Masterplan Update and Movement Strategy

North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a team of consultants to help review and update the Grimsby Town Centre Masterplan created in 2020, as well as to develop a new Movement Strategy. These two documents will be separate but will inform each other. The Masterplan is designed to be reviewed periodically to address any challenges or opportunities that have arisen since its initial development, while also engaging with stakeholders to foster community pride and ownership. The goal of the Masterplan update is to recognize past achievements, investments, and new opportunities, ultimately creating a clear and actionable vision for the Town Centre, tentatively titled 'Grimsby Town Centre Vision 2040.' Additionally, the Movement Strategy will propose innovative, people-centered solutions to enhance movement and transport within the town centre, addressing significant changes that have occurred and aligning with the aspirations of the 2020 Masterplan. This strategy will focus on improving access and connectivity through walking, cycling, micromobility, and other sustainable transport options, ensuring a coordinated approach to enhance accessibility in the town centre and its surrounding areas.
